SUPERKNOCK HELP!!!

hello i had a pretty scary situation last night thought i threw a rod. got superknock on cylinder 4 i have a video of the pull when it happened and have logs of it happening. it came with bank2 post cat 02 code but come on that didn’t cause the superknock i also notice that timing is being pulled or it’s pre igniting i do have 17ts on mhd stage2+ ik it needs a custom tune but i also don’t think that caused superknock my concerns are injectors, false knock, carbon buildup causing hung valve, etc. i have replaced plugs and coils brand new 2 step colder and i have a walbro 450 lpfp which was working fine at time of superknock i will try and post video and logs etc of when it happened, i just replaced bank 1 rear 02. i also have msd81 dme so it’s not mofsets i don’t think it’s still possible. i have spent over 3-4k in maintenance in past month. have stuff for walnut blast just hadn’t done it yet i was waiting for a few days off work. i reflashed it runs normal atleast for now

i have bimmer link and can screen record voltage numbers for basically anything including knock sensors if that helps

Post a proper log, not a useless screenshot.

Running an OTS map on 17ts is pretty dumb. Probably lots of throttle closures.

i know it needs tuned but is that really what’s causing the issue im having hard time finding tuner

this second log at the end when it gets up to temp i went to do a launch in first at about 15-20mph and that’s when i got superknock code let off immediately turned it off and made sure it was okay

What help would posting a log even be, i bet your issues would be solved with a tune

only misfires on cyl 6 questioning whether that’s the real problem before i throw more boost at it also bank 1 doesn’t fully lean on decel. pulled plugs don’t smell like fuel. could this all be just because i need a tune

You really need to get a tune before you crack a piston. Don't drive it hard until you do.

Looking at that last log where the superknock occurs I can see this:

I honestly don't understand how the car is still running. 13afr, -16* timing and a throttle plate at 35% trying to control the overboost down to 18.5PSI.

The massive timing pulls are the engine trying to reduce torque due to the persistent overboost. That is probably giving you some nice toasty EGTs.

I'd agree that it looks like an injector issue on bank 2.

You need to fix both issues. Just getting new injectors won't fix all the other problems. You're also missing out on a load of power by not getting a tune.

got a custom tune from jsrtuning targeting 24 psi running good still think there a issue with cyl 6 injector and i think my inlets are collapsing at such high boost
