What do you do other than play with cars?

Well?

I shoot competitively when not playing with BMWs.
I'm an avid hunter, enjoy outdoors and making one-off calibers.

An example would be this:

On the left is a 45Raptor. I've gotten to know the inventor of the round, Arne. Really neat guy- knows too much about ballistics and shoots Fclass. Basically this is a 460S&W that has a .308 rim. So, it runs in an LR308/AR10 chassis with just a magazine and barrel change. This one is a 395gr leadcast/gas checked round that's subsonic riiiight at 1150 fps. I shoot it out of a 10.5" barrel suppressed with a Bowers Vers50. Super neat.

I also shoot a 300gr Hornady XTP mag at 2200fps out of an 18" barrel. Its a nasty round!

In the middle is a 75gr boattail hollowpoint Hornady I've worked on for my .223.
Custom rounds are awesome to play with, but time consuming and really going down the worm hole chasing the accuracy game.... sometimes its "good enough" because there are so many variables.
On the right is a 300AAC blackout with a 238gr leadcast bullet shooting subsonic. It's basically a .223/5.56 bullet cut down and reshaped to hold a .308/7.62 bullet. I've moved away from this one, and have gone to a Barne's 110 Xtac around 1750fps to increase performance against pigs.

I also shoot IDPA, USPSA and 3 gun.

Goofing off with unique guns is a fun thing to do. Anyone can buy a 30-30.
Do you have a suppressed 44mag? :D

I'm in the military, and am also big into weapons and sport shooting. Haven't competed outside the army though. Maybe one day.

I'm also a professional photographer.

Oh yea? I guess I don't consider it a good hobby of mine- I like buying expensive camera gear and taking bad pics :D
This is our sponsored Ultra4 rig. Shot with a 70-200 on a D7000 (beater camera)

Pretty cool getting pestered by a company for a pic you took :D

LS3 and turbo 400. Dynoed 390 to the ground (which is a lot for 37" tires lol). fabricated 60's F&R, Radflo shocks- 14" travel up front 16" in the rear. Won King of the Hammers in 2008. Robby Gordan was going to drive it in 2010 with us but he bought a rig and helicopter chase for that race lol.... she's a little out dated compared to new rigs, but it still plenty fun to hit 3' whoops at 60 mph. does 100 flat across the lake bed.

Without question for your first one buy a quality rifle.
Once you know it inside and out, and have shot a few thousand through it go and build one.

I've got a few firearms. My first was a synthetic stock bolt action 270 with open sights. I enjoy going to the range, I grew up a high mountain elk hunter. And I mean HIGH, you needed mules to get up there. My sister's husband is a the Western Hunter on the sportsman channel:

I just moved to a much more gun friendly state so I'm starting to get into firearms. I bought a CZ 75 SP01 and a Remington 870. So far it's been a lot of fun plinking with the 9mm and shooting clays with the 870. Next I want to get a .22 rifle and/or an AR.

My other hobbies are stand up jet-skis and real estate investment. Those old school jet-skis that you're probably thinking about have come a long way- Carbon-Kevlar 50lbs hulls with 1200cc two strokes allow these things to do flat water backflips 20ft in the air back to back. Although you can easily spend $30-40k on one. fun as hell tho.

Like most others here I enjoy shooting. I have not competed in any competitions but would love to one day. I have a Remington 700 that i enjoy as well as a few AR platform rifles. I go to the range with my wife Bi-weekly to shoot handguns.(Double the ammo gets expensive). I hike regularly our with my 2 dogs. I have a nice camera that I also shoot horrible pics with.

Here's a pawnshop remington 700 with an unknown round count I play with. Magpul hunter stock and magazine, Leupold MKIV fixed 10X scope and YHM 7.62 Ti can. With handloads I can pull a 5 shot string at 100 yards of .32.
I've shot it out to about 1300 yards. You dont need a ton of money to make a gun go pew well.

oh, and an half asleep confused dog who just wants to be left alone, too :D

They are very capable rifles and I totally agree it doesn't take much. Mostly the round you use, Training(thank you US Army) and a practice. Beautiful dog btw. He definitely has that leave me alone look. :)

Very nice! The dog looks unimpressed...Perhaps the bed has been used as a backdrop more than once?

I have a regular 44 mag Ruger Redhawk!
I enjoy firearms, not as much as you apparently haha.

Other than that, aircraft and hockey.
