Extreme Turbo Systems showing off their GTR:
This car has never had a problem making power. Putting it down has been the issue. They set the ET record at 7.xx a couple years back with several hundred less HP. They've been increasing the MPH record hand over fist and haven't been able to better their ET. I think they are at 213mph in the 1/4 now.
That time is insane, maybe that need to stretch the car, kind of how they do with bikes
Holy crap...... Amazing what cars are doing these days. I'm just over here trying to get a Pro Tune
Absolutely insane... Cannot believe that they maxed out a Dyno for one... for two, 1587 AWTQ!?? That transmission has to be so strong you could throw a grenade at it and it not budge.
I seriously don't even understand how an AWD trans can take a launch at 1600 whtq. lol Maybe that's the problem ... I can't see the video, but if they are not able to take advantage of the power at launch, the ET is going to be hard to improve on at that level. I mean it might take a hundred more WHP to knock off a tenth in ET at those levels.
More or less this sums the video up:
That's so insane. I wonder how much you have to spend including the car to get that kind of power?
Since this thread was started they just re-broke both the ET and MPH records...again. I'll try and find the video but they got so squirrely on the top end I thought for sure the car was about to be totaled....then he saved it, only to run faster the next pass.
It reminds me of watching high power EVOs try to get down the strip
That high boost pass was a hairy ride!
