6MT N54 - 7600 RPM Shift

    I was always told to shift at 5500-6000 rpm... 7spd dct. no??

    Whose tune is that running (mhd, cobb etc.)? Looks like the power is dropping off a little after 7k but impressive none the less!

    Thought power should drop after 6k rpm ..

    It's a single though so it probably carries the power better in the higher rpm's? I'd have to see a dyno to tell where the peak is though

    The title says it's a 6mt which is what it said when I found the video. Also you can see the iDrive is CCC so it doesn't have a dct unless it's a swap or a European variant I don't know about.

    They NEED to get it out to the public raising the bar for these cars has been needed for a while... I understand we are getting really good with what we have got so far but, we are arriving slowly at Supra status.

    I feel like, our cars do offer the potential for Supra Status because we have only had a 10 years to get development and upgrades out for our cars but, we are just scratching the surface is what it feels like

    Where there is a will, there is a way!

    I believe with the amount of tuners out there for this platform that we can get raise some limits in time.

    Also, I don't think the Supra could log info like we can so, we can really see where we can set the bar after its raised.

    Stock turbo power falls off hard after 6000rpm yes

    Stock turbo with inlets breathe better up top though. Would have to work out on your individual setup.

    Upgraded turbos, shift at whatever limiter you have.

    If you're running stockers then there is no extra power to be gained after 55-6k rpm

    As he mentioned Inlets will help the breathe up top and stay in a higher power level. but, without upgraded turbos they are going to be out of efficiency.
